Puzzle 1: Tilbury Fort Water Gate

The Tilbury Fort Water Gate is the south entrance to the historic artillery fort on the River Thames. The fort was originally constructed by King Henry VII to defend the coast of 16th century England. As military technology developed, the fort was eventually repurposed as a transit depot and storage for gunpowder and heavy artillery. It is now owned by the English Heritage trust and is open to the public as a tourist attraction.

Although the exact location of this puzzle is unknown, its contents tell us a vivid story about the truck’s owner and the memories their free-spirited life may behold.

“Along Interstate 40, nestled between Flagstaff and Winslow, is the ghost town of Two Guns. As you drive by, you may see the remnants of an old gas station, now nothing more than a repository of graffiti after a 1971 fire nearly burned it to the ground.”

Puzzle 4: House of Vojislav Ilić

Vojislav Ilić was a Serbian poet whose works exemplified the Decadent movement in Western Europe. His first publication, titled Pesme (Poems) was published in 1887. Vojislav Ilić influenced many young Serbian poets - so much so that the term Vojislavism was coined as a result of his impact.

This Russian-influenced building is also known as the Chapel of Orthodox in memory of Alexandra Skripitzine. The chapel was erected in 1895 by Eugène Tripet in memory of his wife Alexandra Féodorovna Skripitzine, who died the same year.

This puzzle features an interior view of the Sirkeci railway station - an iconic symbol of Istanbul that once operated as the eastern terminal of the world-famous Orient Express, a long distance passenger train that ran from Paris to Istanbul from the years 1883-2009.
