🎂 Puzzling Places Birthday Update, Giveaway & Monthly Pack #47!
Hey Puzzlers,
It’s our birthday, and we’re celebrating with a brand-new update! 🎂 This update brings a bunch of new features to make puzzling even more flexible and connected, including Weekly Puzzles, a new Guest Pass for multiplayer, improved Mixed Reality and Passthrough, and a brand-new News carousel to help you keep up with everything happening in Puzzling Places!
✨ What’s New
Quest Only
- 🧩 Weekly Puzzle — A new puzzle to enjoy every week!
- 🎟️ Guest Pass — Join a friend’s multiplayer session even if you don’t own the puzzle they’re playing. Guests can join but cannot host.
- 🏠Full Mixed Reality / Passthrough Support — Play entirely in Mixed Reality from start to finish, without the game switching to a black screen. The setting will automatically follow your headset’s MR/Passthrough preference.
Quest, PICO & Steam Frame
- 👀 Passthrough Fade — Gradually adjust the Passthrough effect with a new slider. For example, keep the area behind your shelf as a virtual environment while seeing the rest of your room through Passthrough.
All Platforms
- 📰 New News Carousel — Stay up to date with announcements, new releases, updates, and free puzzles available to claim from the store.
Bug Fixes & Improvements
- Improved the overall Mixed Reality and Passthrough experience.
- Improved how Passthrough settings are handled when starting and loading into puzzles.
- Various other stability and quality-of-life improvements.
