We are honored to have had the chance to work with Divographics and the Kavala Tourism board on this puzzle pack that showcases significant Greek monuments.

The following puzzles are included in Monthly Pack #9:


Aqueduct

  • Location: Kavala, Greece

Perhaps one of the most recognizable monuments in Kavala, this aqueduct once supplied water to Panagia (the old town of Kavala) through the early 20th century. The beautiful construction signifies the 16th century infrastructure works carried out in Kavala as part of a significant effort to rebuild the city after its destruction in 1391. Although the aqueduct is no longer in use, its beauty and importance remains enjoyable to people in present day Kavala.


Greek Amphitheater

  • Location: Philippi, Greece

This impressive theater in Philippi represents the resilience of Kavala as it endured various phases of destruction and rebuilding. After seeing centuries of gatherings and performances, this Greek amphitheater has since been restored. It is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the Philippi festival, the second oldest festival in the country.


Halil Bey Mosque

The Halil Bey Mosque is believed to have been built around the year 1530. The mosque once housed the Municipality’s orchestra, earning its present name “Palia Mousiki.” It has since been opened to the public and hosts many exhibitions and events on its grounds.

Archangel Michael Monastery

Dating back to the 18th century, the Archangel Michael Monastery is an exclusively female monastery that was built on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Aegean Sea. Visitors today can still experience these breathtaking views.
