Introducing Journey Mode - Our most relaxing way to puzzle yet!
Journey Mode is a brand-new game mode designed for players who prefer a calmer, more casual puzzling experience. Instead of a big shelf full of pieces, you’ll work with a small, curated handful that appear right in front of you. Attaching them to a single, growing centerpiece takes you on a gentle journey through the puzzle. Pieces rotate themselves, everything stays organized, and you can puzzle comfortably even in the tiniest spaces. It’s smooth, cozy, and unbelievably satisfying. And yes, for the first time, you will even be able to zoom in and out!
Built for mixed reality and hand tracking, Journey Mode lets you slip into a calm, focused flow whether you’re at your desk, lounging on the sofa or sitting on an airplane.
Hand Tracking 2.0 - More natural, more responsive, more fun!
That’s not all! We’ve introduced a big set of enhancements to hand tracking. Grabbing and releasing is more responsive and reliable, puzzle interactions are clearer thanks to fingertip cues, and tiny details are easier than ever to interact with thanks to improved poke gestures (yes, you can still pet the cats). We’ve also added a throw-back gesture to return pieces to the wall, drag gestures to switch tabs, and full hand-tracking tutorials across all modes. Everything has been refined so puzzling with your hands feels more natural, more fluid, and more fun.
New Menu
We’ve also completely refreshed the in-game menu, making everything cleaner and easier to browse! The update introduces an all-new start screen with quick start options, puzzle stats, and personalized pack recommendations, along with bigger, clearer thumbnails and visible ratings for every puzzle and pack in the store.
New & Remastered Puzzles
Over the years, we’ve gotten a lot better at making puzzles - our best puzzles now include animations, lighting effects, day to night cycles, interactive details, and all kinds of enhancements that make them feel much more alive. By now most of the highest rated puzzles use these newer techniques. We wanted the base game to reflect that evolution and make sure all players get the best possible puzzling experience right from the start - so we updated the base game puzzles!

As part of this refresh, a few older base-game puzzles have moved into the Puzzling Places Classics bundle - but don’t worry: if you owned the game before December 16th, you keep access to all the old puzzles and get access to the new ones automatically!
